I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed the implied crush, the way she reacted at the end of the game (won't spoil it) implied she did. the remake for the GBA certainly put more emphasis on it as she states that she had weird feelings for Max in one of the conversations you can have with her. it's a pain to get the conversations going as most of the time the characters will talk to you, telling you about themselves.

Mae is certainly an interesting character, I think there's much more that could have been done with her, I usually keep her throughout the game. the GBA animations and character designs make her look unique enough to tell her apart from the rest of the Shining Force. while I will always enjoy the Sega version of the game, the GBA version certainly put more meat on the characters personality.

Love this show!
